Mark: Cannot tell you what a huge influence you were on me as a young wannabe musician. The fact that you came from the same hometown as I did (Bayonne, NJ) gave me the impetus to pursue music with a passion. While I never got above the bar band level I found playing and writing music to be one of my life's passions. Thank you.

Hi Mark...I've been a fan of Vanilla Fudge since I saw the band in Orlando, FL in the mid 1960's. I must say there's nothing like you playing a Hammond B-3 with the Lesley cabinet. What a sound...nothing like it in the world. There are other great B-3 players...Chris Stainton, Greg Allman, Steve Winwood, to name a few but you're the best! I love Vanilla Fudge and "there ain't nothin' I can do about it" so "set me free why don't ya babe" and go on tour again. It would be so nice for your older fans if you could play some smaller venues in Florida like the King Center in Melbourne. I saw Carmine on That Metal Show tonight so maybe another tour would be possible in the future. It would be a dream come true for all of us old hippies! Take care!

Whidbey Island. Lots of action here .

Had the fantastic opportunity of seeing you and the Fudge at the Boulton Center in New York. You guys were fantastic, we have been following the band since of course when you first started playing. When your band made their comeback in the 90's we also were following you. You guys have gotten better and better, Thank you for giving us great pleasure all these years

Hello Mark,
Just read the nice story written by Carol.
We, my wife and I live in Holland. On internet is so much to discover, just like your site. I'm glad you are doing fine! I enjoyed the Vanilla Fudge records in the late sixties, when I was a teenager; first I bought Vanilla Fudge(I) and then the album
Renaissance; when these records started to play it was a revelation. Astauning music....and still it is. Best wishes from Robbie

Hi Mark, Just some history, I sang lead and played bass, with an all-girl rhythm and blues band, 5 pcs., from 1967-1969, in MA, called "The Daisy Delegation"! We played your version of the songs, "You Keep Me Hanging On", "Take Me For A Little While", and "Season Of The Witch"! It was so awesome. I was only 15, our youngest player on the Drums was only 12! It was an awesome band, playing great music of the day! I'm still a singer, and dabble a bit on my replica of "Beatle" bass, an Epiphone, Viola style, of course! Thought I'd mention how The Vanilla Fudge inspired me, and all of us. In fact, my first concert, ever, our Personal Manager, at that time, Sal Freda, took us all to see Dionne Warwick, in a concert venue here in the Boston area, back in 1967, I think it was, and The Vanilla Fudge opened for Dionne! My first concert, ever. Dionne was my first female singer idol. To this day, she still is the greatest. Carol Harrington, caharrington167@verizon.net

I was quite taken the first time I heard that great initial VF lp. Loved Mark's voice and onstage flair and command. So great that he is healthy, happy, and fulfilled into his 60's in early 2011. Like a fine wine...he is just mellowing and getting finer. But can still kick musical ass. Love it. J.L. Huntington Beach, California
